Frozen goodness by Smooze!

Packaged With Love Wednesday

Convenience foods aren't usually welcome in our house, but occasionally I'll pick up a hitch hiker at the store. These little guys jumped into my cart at Whole Foods a few months ago.

Smooze are frozen desserts made from coconut milk and pureed tropical fruit. They're low in sugar, calories, and fat. They're also quite frankly delicious. My favorite flavor thus far is mango, but I've also been told that the pineapple kind is excellent as well.

These are not dirt cheap - the Whole Foods in Mandarin wants about $6 for a box. I'd say these are worth the little extra when you're in a Popsicle mood. They have a nice creaminess, they're fruity, and except for a small amount of added sugar they're pretty darned wholesome. As a bonus, they also fulfill any lingering childish love of those Flintstone push-up pops.

Now if only I could get the local ice cream truck to carry these...
